David Anguish - Some Things About Me

I have been privileged to spend my working life in the study and teaching of Scripture and related matters. I have served churches as a preaching minister, education minister, writing minister, song leader, and worship planner. I also taught for twelve years in the Bible department of a Christian school.  My longest tenures were with the church of Christ in Snellville (metro Atlanta, GA) (1984-2000), the church of Christ at Southwind (Memphis, TN) (2000-2015), and teaching Bible (grades 7-12) at Greater Atlanta Christian School (metro Atlanta) (1983-1995).

I also worked as a writer and researcher for the Truth for Today World Mission School, a non-profit writing ministry based in Searcy, AR (2015-2018). I have written numerous bulletin articles, articles for various Bible study journals, and two tracts. I have also taught in Bible teacher workshops (emphasis on adult classes), and conducted classes and seminars on subjects related to Christian apologetics.

My wife of nearly 40 years (1978-2017) was diagnosed with cancer and passed away in 2017. I am a father (two sons, one daughter-in-law), a grandfather, a son, and a brother.

I have eclectic music interests; enjoy a good play or movie; like to read history, biography, and various opinion columns; and follow various sports, baseball more than the others. I also confess that the dogs my wife and one of my sons insisted we take into our home amuse me in ways I never would have imagined.
